The Event
Held on the stunning island of Gran Canaria in Spain. Challenge Mogan Gran Canaria is known for its picturesque coastal views, the race attracts pros and amateur triathletes from around the world, who come to test their limits in an exhilarating course set against the backdrop of the Atlantic Ocean.
Choose from Middle or Olympic distances. The middle-distance triathlon course offers a demanding and varied challenge with some technical aspects and is a qualifier for The Championship. Swim in the clear, calm waters of Amadores Beach, followed by a bike course that takes athletes through the island’s rugged and mountainous terrain, offering challenging ascents and breathtaking scenery, though tough athletes will have the roads to themselves with it being closed to traffic. The run portion takes in the beautiful coastline and allows participants to enjoy the scenic beachside views as they make their way to the finish line.
The date for the 2026 edition has not yet been confirmed, however it is expected to take place on 25 April , when the island enjoys mild and comfortable weather, making it ideal for triathlon conditions

The Location
Mogán, Gran Canaria, is known for its charming port, Puerto de Mogán, often called “Little Venice” due to its canals and colorful houses. The golden sandy beach offers calm waters perfect for swimming and relaxation. The marina is lined with seafood restaurants, boutique shops, and a lively market on Fridays. The surrounding cliffs and hills provide excellent hiking trails with stunning ocean views. Sunset boat tours and dolphin-watching excursions are popular activities. The area enjoys a warm, sunny climate year-round, making it an ideal destination for a peaceful getaway.
Getting There
Athletes will need to fly into Gran Canaria Airport (LPA). There is an airport bus that departs hourly to Patalavaca which is within walking distance of the hotel (450 meters). The bus journey takes approximately 31 minutes. Alternatively, you have the option to book a private airport taxi with our Tri Travel staff at the booking stage.
